J W Marriott Desert Ridge customer service and reservation snafu

Red Flag Caution- this has not been resolved to my satisfaction

I tried to book a room and tried for almost an hour, three calls, being hung up on, being transferred to people who were no help. Call customer service to tell them of the poor service, rep could not spell Phoenix, could not find offer, hung up on me, even when I had the local hotel person on the line. Could not get it resolved, I could not book a room at the advertised price.  They tried a bait and switch me for $100 more per night.

I asked for a rep from the hotel to call me, so see what they could do.  All I want to do is book a room at the advertised rate at their hotel… Hello

They were… well who did you  speak to on each call?  What… I was not thinking I was going to have a problem, so who asks…

What is the name of the promotion…. there is not one on the direct mail piece.

The manager in charge called after I asked for someone in charge to call me and he was so smug, so non customer focused. So like he was doing me a favor.

 

Hello Marriott Marketing, you spend a lot of money to mail this to me, I spend an hour of your phone time trying to book.  It is one big marketing and customer service blunders you have on your hands. Plus now a hour of my time.  I should bill you $300 for wasting my time. PS I still can’t book the reservation……
